THE GONDOLIER has made a conscious decision to bring QUALITY to all that we do and provide. You no longer need to go out of town to get the “Good Stuff”.

GELATO

Our gelato is made in house using machinery and critical ingredients imported from Italy. We are bringing authentic Italian gelato that you find on the streets of Florence to Statesville.

PASTRY

Our cakes, pies, and cheesecakes are supplied by Queen City Pastry. Queen City Pastry is a top-of-the-line wholesale bakery that supplies high end restaurants and hotels that value their brand and buy from only the BEST. So, when you eat the pastry from THE GONDOLIER you are getting verified Quality.

Our Cinnamon Rolls, Cheerwine Shortcake and soon Cornbread Muffins are baked by Karen and Michael Pharr of Karen’s Cakes and Café Pharr. Karen has been baking commercially for over 30 years in Statesville and has established an impeccable reputation.

CHOCOLATES

Our chocolates are all hand-crafted by a skilled chocolatier….Marvin Lynch of Marvin’s Confections. Marvin takes great pride in his work and creates delicious chocolates. Oh, did I mention that he was a hair stylist for 16 years in Hollywood. The guy is an “artist” and you are getting that artistry when you eat his chocolates. THE GONDOLIER is very lucky to be partnering with Marvin to bring to Statesville the type of chocolates you previously had to travel to get.

Staff was beyond friendly, explaining that they had been so successful in opening that everything was very nearly sold out. And good for them!! My daughter and I split a sweet creme/chocolate gelato and I should have gotten two. It was amazing and my usually particular kiddo, ate the whole thing. I really look forward to more visits here.

Their chocolate gelato tops any chocolate gelato or ice cream that I’ve ever had! Everything we tried was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try breakfast. Such a wonderful addition to downtown Statesville!

We came by twice during the first week. Had gelato our first visit which was delish and then the pecan cheesecake on our second trip was also scrumptious. We'll be back.
